Sandera’s past exists in just a few precious photographs kept in an old suitcase. They are from a past time and of a world that no longer exists, in which a small mixed-raced girl was born in a troubled country torn apart by a fratricidal war.

Today, in the autumn of her life, Sandera prepares to return to her country of birth: South Korea. The time has come for her to face her past, rewrite her history, weave links between the worlds where her haunting memories exist, and renew a conversation with her biological mother even though she died long ago.
